In Every Atom wins! Their were dozens of alligators in the swamps, not so many along the river. I definitely stayed on the trail. My neck actually tingled as the gators eyed us up.
I grew up close to New York City, so I know what you’re talking about. But in Florida, it doesn’t matter if you are in Miami or in a remote area, you are bound to see a gator. If you live outside the city you learn to check your pool water before jumping in. Many times people have found gators or large snakes taking a swim. . .I’m not kidding!

Then I go for River Trail as ‘gator country’. But as I am a city boy, I do not have a clue…

I did have an advantage over Charles, as I have lived in Florida, and knew that swamps are the natural habitats for those gators. 🙂

Cool, how long did you live in Florida for, and where?

Lived in Palm Beach County for 3+ years. It was very beautiful. Loved the beaches, the warm ocean, the intercoastal waterway, and the clouds.
